Morningside is a quaint residential community within the Upper Eastside neighborhood. It is a historic district that has maintained most of the old architectures.

The Neighborhood

The affluent neighborhood of Morningside occupies the east of Biscayne Boulevard that stretches from the NE 50th Terrace to NE 62nd Street.

The small community of Morningside is nearby several equally successful neighborhoods such as Bayside Historic District, Belle Meade, Buena Vista and Little Haiti. It also has quick access to the edgy neighborhoods of Midtown/Wynwood and Edgewater.

It is overlooking the sparkling blue waters of the Biscayne Bay and residents benefit from the year-round tropical breezes. Broad boulevards with shady trees along with a waterfront park are what make this quiet neighborhood a residential haven.

Morningside remains an architectural marvel, with many Mediterranean Revival, Art Deco, Vernacular, Mission and Tudor Revival homes from the 1920s still standing today.

The sub-neighborhood of Upper Eastside takes pride in being one of the best planned subdivisions in Miami. Its tree-lined streets and well-maintained park attracted a number of prominent residents.

The home of Archbishop Edward McCarthy at NE 53rd Street was used by St. John Paul II as his residence when he visited the United States.

Residents gush about how close everything is to them. Cushman School is only a few blocks away while UM Medical Center is only several miles. Access to the beach takes only about 6 minutes or less.

Things To Do

Morningside is among the most sought after neighborhoods in Miami for its peaceful vibe and strong sense of community. The district also has its own park, the Morningside Park. The park offers the residents plenty of activities such as tennis clinics and lessons, paddle boarding, sailing, kayaking, after school activities, and summer, winter and spring camps.

Shopping for something unique is made possible by the neighborhood’s proximity to Design District.
