The Neighborhood

Located on the eastern shore of South Beach, Flamingo/Lummus Miami has Lincold Road to the north, 5th Street to the south, Biscayne Bay and Alton Road to the west and Ocean Drive and Lummus Park to the East.

It is has the neighborhood of Bayshore to its north and South Pointe to its south.

Flamingo/Lummus Miami got its name from the Flamingo Hotel, which was built in the neighborhood during the 1920s.

The neighborhood has Flamingo Park Baseball Stadium, which served as the home of minor-league clubs and the venue of New York Giants spring training during its early days. Other places of interest in Flamingo/Lummus Miami is the Art Deco District and the Flamingo Park Pool, a 36-acre park that features basketball courts, baseball diamonds and swimming pools for adults and children.

Lummus Park featuring beach access, a playground and fitness gears are also within 5 minutes from the neighborhood. Other parks nearby include Marjory Stoneman Douglas Park and South Pointe Park.

American Airlines Arena and Downtown are both about 10 minutes away from the neighborhood via the MacArthur Causeway, while the Miami International Airport is just a 16-minute drive. Bal Harbour Shops is about 23 minutes from the neighborhood via the Alton Road.

Homes for sale in Flamingo/Lummus has a median sales price appreciation by $8,750 or 4.2% in in its year-over-year performance. But the market is still cold as the median sales price from August to November of this year dropped by $10,750 or 4.9%.

The average listing price of the properties are currently at $317,811 but the median sales price is at $210,000. The average sales price of homes in the same period increased from $371 to $376.
