Bay Ridge Estates

Homes For Sale

Bay Ridge Estates is one of the premier neighborhoods in the Pinecrest area of South Miami. This is where you will find luxurious homes in varying architectural styles.

The Neighborhood

Bay Ridge Estates is one of the high-end real estate enclaves in the South Miami area, and this community is situated in an area that is just next door to Gables by the Sea. This neighborhood stretches from Old Cutter Road to Chapman Field Drive, and from SW 63rd Court to SW 62nd Avenue. About five blocks long and a block and a half wide, this community is a small but nonetheless imposing neighborhood that consists of homes with at least four bedrooms.

The residences you can find here are single family homes that were mostly built in the 1960s, with architectural designs that include Mediterranean, plantation inspired, and colonial. These homes are often rather large, with square footage usually between 4,000 and 10,000, excluding the size of the property. The property sizes here can reach up to an acre in size, giving these homes a lot of space for landscaping as well as for additions like circular driveways, pools, and the like. The streets of this neighborhood are tree-lined, which adds to the old-world and old-neighborhood charm that residents here love.

Most of the homes here are occupied by the homeowners themselves, with around 87% of these stately abodes being lived in by those who purchased these. People who have settled down here are between the ages of 38 and 46, with a sprinkling of retirees as well as teenagers and children under 18. Majority of the residents here are married and a good percentage, around 80%, are college educated.

Considered prime real estate in Miami, the homes here are pretty huge, with a minimum of 4 bedrooms for some and as many as 9 bedrooms for a few others. Homes in this neighborhood are not what you might call cheap, but these are priced as such for a good reason, and that is because these homes are easily classified as luxurious. Rent for those homes that are being leased by their owners go for $1,500 to $1,700 per bedroom, and about 13% of the homes here are being rented out.
