Kendall West is among Miami-Dade County’s census-designated places. The suburban neighborhood got its name from its location west of Kendall.
Adjacent to Kendale Lakes, Kendall West is not to be confused with another neighborhood of Kendall, which is West Kendall.
This neighborhood is bordered by the SW 157th Avenue to the west, SW 147th Avenue to the east, SW 42nd Street to the north and I-94 to the south. It is located to the west of Florida Turnpike.
Kendall West is near the cities of The Hammocks, Tamiami, Westwood Lakes, Olympia Heights and University Park.
It is a 30 minute drive from the Miami International Airport and the American Airlines Arena. The many activities of Miami Beach and its nearby neighborhoods are only within 35 minutes from Kendall West.
Kendall West homeowners have ready access to the famed Miccosukee Golf Course and Country Club. The residents also have quick access to many expansive and lush greenery that include Marlins Park, Biscayne National Park and Everglades National Park, which are all within 25 to 45 minutes away.
