The Neighborhood

This barrier island on Miami’s Biscayne Bay has a total area of 0.04 miles, with 6.67% of it in water. It is just under 20 minutes away from the Miami International Airport and the private airport of Opa Locka.

The posh Indian Creek has its own Mayor and city council that oversees all the activities in the village and despite having a population of less than a hundred, the village has its own private police force patrolling the premises 24/7 to maintain the security and privacy of its residents.

It would not be unusual to see the police making rounds in the island using boats and jet skis.

The village of Indian Creek is extremely exclusive and heavily guarded primarily because the homeowners belong to the ultra-rich of the society. Some of the well-known residents of the village include Carl Icahn, Eddie Lampert, Norman Braman, and Charles Johnson.

Recently added to world’s billionaire’s list, Colombian Jaime Galinski also has a spacious property in the village. Supermodel Elle MacPherson also maintains a house in Indian Creek with his husband Jeffrey Soffer.

Things To Do

The estates in the village built on the Indian Creek Island Road surround its highly exclusive Country Club that features a private 18-hole golf course. Guest list are confidential and would cost at least six figures to gain access.
