Harbor Beach is another upscale community in the southeastern end of the Fort Lauderdale enclave, and is one of three that are located in this area. Much like most of the canal-front and waterfront properties in the area, the homes in this enclave stand on property facing the water, making it easy for residents to explore the many waterways of the city called the Venice of America. The homes here are mostly single family homes and estates, with the few multi-unit residences in the area being found nearer the beach, along Seabreeze Boulevard.
Those who reside here state a few good reasons why this is their community of choice, and the reasons include the beauty of the area, the privacy they get from such a locality, the beautiful houses around them, and of course, the water as well as the closeness of the beach. People who live here can actually walk or bike to the beach, which is just a few minutes to the east of the neighborhood. Other reasons that were cited include the serenity of the place, its low crime rate, the fact that there are many good restaurants nearby, and the niceness of their neighbors.
As with most waterfront residential areas, almost all of the homes here have their own boat docks and a lot of those who live here take to the water whenever they can. This area is a great place for boating aficionados and just about anyone who loves living near the water. This is also a great place for people who enjoy water sports such as kayaking, jetskiing, canoeing, and more.
