Chula Vista is not exactly a group of islands, as you would envision with the name, but rather a neighborhood in South Fort Lauderdale. Located to the northwest of Fort Lauderdale International Airport, this enclave stands beside River Run, Oak River, and Lauderdale West.
The Chula Vista neighborhood is a rather small one, stretching from SW14th Street down to SW 21st Court, then from Fairmont Avenue to SW 28th Avenue. People who live here love the fact that it is quiet, family-friendly, peaceful, and very walkable. Others in the area consider it beautiful, and love the atmosphere, probably because of the many trees in the community that help make it welcoming and homey.
The area also has quite a few amenities that people can enjoy, and these include a park, retail outlets, restaurants, and coffee shops, to mention a few. It is also surrounded by numerous public transportation stops, making it convenient for residents to go to and from the neighborhood.
