Not to be confused with its namesake in Miami, the Bal Harbour neighborhood in Fort Lauderdale is still somewhat similar to the one in the neighboring county. This is because this enclave is also a luxurious residential area with expensive homes and upscale amenities.
Most of the working population living in this community, about 36%, work as professionals, is in management, or are corporate executives. 33% of the working individuals in the neighborhood are in sales or service oriented positions.
The cost of living in the area however is considered pretty high, but livability is exceptional, and this is due to the many schools, low crime rate, and numerous amenities that can be found within this community’s borders. Almost everything you need is right at your doorstep here, with groceries, retail outlets, restaurants, schools, and public transport stops a mere walk away.
