Fairlawn Information

This sub-neighborhood is occupied by an almost equal mix of homeowners and renters, with some areas having more renters than owners, and others having the opposite percentages.

People who live here are mostly married, with upwards of 70% of the population being married couples. Not everyone in this are however are college degree holders, with around 30% having finished college.

This may account for the fact that only 17% of the working population is in executive and management positions while 36% are in the sales and services industry. 24% of the workers in this enclave belong to the manufacturing industry and 22% are either tech support workers or in clerical jobs.

Some of the things that residents love about this area is its closeness to the airport, the relatively quiet surroundings, and the laid-back lifestyle that one can have here.

Fairlawn is not like some of the flamboyant and flashy areas of Miami, and is in fact a rather quiet and low-key residential area with a few places of entertainment and conveniences around it. When it comes to dining out, the area also has a few options for those who live here, and the selection of favorites includes the following:

Residences here are mostly small to medium sized homes, with majority being single family homes that come with three to four bedrooms. There are a few apartment buildings, gated enclaves, and condos in the area, and these account for 15% of the homes here.

While most of the homes here were built in the 1970s to the 1990s, there are a few that have been constructed in the earlier part of 2000s and most of the older homes have undergone renovations for modernization.
