Omni is an urban neighborhood in Downtown Miami located at the south of Edgewater. The emerging neighborhood is attracting a number of home buyers who are banking on the residential potential of Omni while home prices are still affordable than its nearby communities.

The Neighborhood

The historic neighborhood of Omni has the Ease Second Avenue and Florida East Coast Railway to its west, North 24th Street to its north, Biscayne Bay to its east and I-395 to its south.

It is near the business-filled districts of Downtown Miami, Brickell, Wynwood and Design District.

Metromover Omni Loop serves the residents of Omni. Miami Metrorail through the Metromover at Government Center is also accessible to the locals. Tri-rail and Amtrak bus lines also go through the neighborhood, with main bus station located next to the Arsht Center.

Downtown Development Authority initiated the use of bikes and provided wide biking lanes and parking. The Venetian and Rickenbacker Causeways are popular biking destinations for residents and Miami locals.

South Beach and Miami International Airport are a good 15-minute drive away from the neighborhood, while the American Airlines Arena is only a few minutes away. The neighborhood hosts the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts where locals frequent for concerts and other live performances by notable artists.

Residents live a convenient lifestyle in Omni as most of what they need is within their neighborhood. For grocery needs, Omni has Publix Super Market that feature easy parking, fast check out, complete list of basic necessities and pharmacy. L R Grocery is a convenience store in Biscayne Blvd that is a favorite among locals.

While Omni enjoys the surge of developments and redevelopments, the community is still home to some historic buildings such as Miami Women’s Club, First Church of Christ, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Sears’ Department Store Tower at the Arsht Center, Fire Station No. 2 and City of Miami Cemetery.

Things To Do

Margaret Pace Park is a gem located in Omni that most Miami folks love to visit as it features the stunning views of the beach as its backdrop. Other parks nearby include Dorsey Park, Museum Park, Martell Park and Stearns Park.

Omni has also a good collection of shops within and near the neighborhood. Sartoria Gherardi offers custom tailored suits for men, while Shirley Pear Lingerie Boutique is a favorite among the female locals. For shopping malls, Wynwood Block, Midtown Mall, Miami Design District and Target are all within close distance from Omni.

In recent years, the neighborhood of Omni became a fertile ground for the construction of high-rise condominiums and rentals, which are far more affordable than those in Brickell but affordable enough to catch the attention of locals and second-home buyers.

Omni is slowly emerging as a neighborhood with a good sense of community that attracts developers and investors to continue building more properties.

Agents predict that the neighborhood will slowly make its place in Miami along with the neighborhood of Edgewater. Home prices will increase as housing developments will take a wild turn from 2016 to 2025.

Today, single family homes for sale in Omni have a median listing price of $595,000 and an average price of $146. Median closing price is at $440,000.

Omni Miami condominiums for sale have an average closing price of $385,000 and a slightly higher average price per square foot of $365. Condos have a median listing price of $535,000.
