The city occupies the southeast area of the Broward County and belongs to the South Florida metropolitan area.
The neighborhood of Davie borders the north and east side of Cooper City. Pembroke Pines is located south of the neighborhood while Hollywood and Southwest Ranches are at the east and west, respectively.
Transportation in Cooper City is easy as residents have access to Amtrak, Greyhound Bus Lines, Broward County Transit and the Tri-Rail.
Fort Lauderdale International Airport is roughly 25 minutes away if residents travel via the I-595 W. A little farther from the neighborhood but still accessible is the Miami International Airport, which is about 28 miles via the Florida’s Turnpike Expressway.
Cooper City is halfway through Downtown Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood.
Cooper City is home to the Brian Piccolo Park, a favorite venue for cricket. In 2004, the park hosted the first-class cricket when the US team played against the Canadian team during the ICC Intercontinental Cup. During the same year, the park also became the home ground of Florida Thunder Pro Cricket Team.
Brian Piccolo Park also has cycling tracks and skateboard parks.
