Surfside Miami is an oceanside community located between the neighborhoods of Bal Harbour and Miami Beach. The small but growing town attracts both retirees and young professional families because of its simple charm that offers a laidback atmosphere within the city.

The Neighborhood

The quaint neighborhood of Surfside Miami is conveniently located within the Miami-Dade County, bounded by the upscale neighborhood of Bal Harbour to the north, Miami Beach to the south, the exclusive village of Indian Creek and Bay Harbor Islands to the west, and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. Surfside town covers the area from the 87th Street to the 96th Street.

The residents of Surfside have no problem going around town as most of the establishments are within walking distance. Still, the community has an interlocal shuttle service with routes including the neighborhoods of Bal Harbour and Bay Harbor Islands.

The tropical paradise of Surfside is a community perfect for permanent residence, family vacation, seasonal trip, or a relaxing seaside escape that offers pleasant, convenient access to shopping destinations, public parks and beaches, and other recreational activities.

Surfside boasts its own oceanfront Community Center and Aquatics Facility where visitors of all ages can enjoy from a wide variety of recreational activities. The center provides over 90 health and wellness classes, including Beach Yoga, Aqua Zumba, and Pilates.

Beside the community center is an art exhibition, known as “Turtle Walk,” that features Florida Loggerhead Sea Turtle. The town collaborated with local artists to create 13 art installations to increase awareness about sea turtle conservation.

The town has a mile-long public beach that is clean, safe, peaceful, and devoid of any commercial establishments, making it an ideal place to relax and unwind.

Shopping malls and entertainment venues in Bal Harbour is minutes away from Surfside. It is also within the range of South Beach and Downtown Miami.

Residents also have easy access to Oleta State Park at Sunny Isles where they can experience kayaking, biking, and hiking while having the stunning view of the Biscayne Bay. North Shore Open Space Park where residents can play sand volleyball is also close to Surfside.

Surfside has an eclectic mix of dining options from French, European, Canadian and South American cuisines. Along Harding Avenue between 94th and 96th Street is an array of restaurants that is sure to satisfy cravings.

Josh’s Deli, a quirky restaurant at Harding Ave, serves lobster knishes and duck fat matzo ball soup. Those craving for some Italian fare can order generous portions of pasta at Café Ragazzi. Surfside also has a number of kosher restaurants such as Backyard BBQ famous for its house smoked brisket and wings.

Satisfy your Japanese palate by heading on to Sushi Republic that serves up authentic yet affordable maki rolls and bento boxes. Babaganoush and hummus served on fluffy pita bread would fill hungry tummies in The Greek Place.

Surfside non-waterfront single family homes for sale have an average home price of $720,000 and a price per square foot of $476. Waterfront single family homes in Surfside have an average home price of $3,550,000 and an average price per square foot of $607.

Surfside Miami has become the site of numerous luxurious condominium buildings, including the Fendi Chateau Surfside. Upscale condo units have an average pre-selling price of $1,300 to $1,500 per square foot.

Median rent per month at Surfside is currently at $3,575, a 3% drop compared to last month’s rent. This can be due to more residents preferring to have their own property – as evidenced by the large percentage (69%) of homeowners in the neighborhood.
