Weston is a Broward County city located to the west of the Everglades. It is a master planned suburban community home to wealthy businessmen and families.

The Neighborhood

The family oriented community of Weston has the Everglades Canal Trail to the west, West State Road 84 to the north, 160th Avenue to the east and Griffin Road to the south as its city limits.

Its north and west area is bounded by the Everglades, while the east, southeast and south areas are bounded by the neighborhoods of Davie, Southwest Ranches and Pembroke Pines, respectively.

Through the years, Weston grew and evolved to become one of South Florida’s most sought after communities particularly for families. In 2015, Weston was included by Family Circle Magazine in its list of Ten Best Towns for Families.

It was also ranked 73rd in the Money Magazine list of Best Places to Live in America in 2008. In the same list, the city improved its ranking to the 62nd slot in 2015.

Weston prides itself by having a strong sense of community, making each resident truly feel that they belong.

Fire and EMS is provided by the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) Fire Rescue Department. The department has achieved the ISO Class 1 Rating. The City of Weston and the BSO offer community programs for its residents. Programs include free CPR certification classes, EMS GO packet and form and smoke alarm and battery replacement for senior citizens.

Weston has made its name in South Florida as one of the safest cities to live in. Law enforcement and safety is also provided by the Broward Sherriff’s Office with headquarters at the Weston Police Services Building.

Things To Do

Weston boasts of well-maintained parks and recreational facilities including Tequesta Trace Park, Weston Regional Park, Vista Park and Gator Run Park.

Tequesta Trace Park spans 42 acres and is home to a community park, football fields, baseball diamonds, a hockey rink and a main football field with a track.

Weston is also home to the Weston Hills Country Club and Bonaventure Golf Club.
