The diverse community of Parkland is an affluent neighborhood of the Broward County. The city is among the most desirable cities in the area that continue to attract wealthy businessmen and families.

The Neighborhood

Incorporated as a city in 1963, Parkland is a strict and conservative community that continually strives to preserve its “park-like” character. While there used to be no traffic lights and commercial establishments in the area, several residential developments pushed the demand and forced the community to allow several stores.

The city is bounded to the west by the vast greens of the Everglades. To the east is the beautiful neighborhood of Coconut Creek. West Boca Raton bounds Parkland to the west, while Coral Springs borders the south area of the city. The northern area of Parkland is bounded by Mission Bay and Hamptons at Boca Raton.

Parkland is centrally located and easily accessible. It has the Sawgrass Expressway to its south and State Road 7 to the east.

Living in Parkland is reminiscent of the beautiful community of Coral Gables in Miami. The relaxed community is secluded yet accessible. Tuscan homes with elegant sophistication defines Parkland living.

Since its incorporation, the administrators have religiously kept in mind the familial atmosphere of the community. There are miles and miles of bicycle path, equestrian fields and multi-purpose trails.

Law and order is provided by the Broward Sheriff’s Office, with office at 6650 University Drive.

Fire Rescue and Emergency Medical Services are shared with the Coral Springs Fire Department.

Things To Do

Indeed a land of parks, Parkland boasts of a number of well-maintained and lush parks within the city limits. The city’s Parks and Recreation offices are within the Pine Trails Park at 10559 Trails End. Here, residents can join in several programs offered during summer and winter breaks. There are even programs for senior citizens.
