The Neighborhood

The coastal neighborhood of Bal Harbour is at the northernmost edge of the Miami Beach composed of about ten blocks, while the Bay Harbor Islands just west in Biscayne Bay.

Bal Harbour is at the northeast of Downtown Miami, about 40 minutes away by car. Meanwhile, Fort Lauderdale is 35 minutes away from the neighborhood.

Access to the beaches is only through the club or hotels. Their beaches are pristine and are among the most protected coastal areas in the county.

While it is private, getting around the community is easy since it has a local municipal circulator system and 17 Miami-Dade Transit bus routes.

The community is also close the Golden Glades Intermodal Transit Centre in I-95 at the southwestern area of the neighborhood.

Things To Do

There is not much to do in Bal Harbour beaches but those looking for more beach adventures can head out to Bill Bird Marina Marina at Haulover Beach Park just one mile of the neighborhood is a must-visit. Catering to its wealthy residents, Bal Harbour Shops houses signature brands including Jimmy Choo, Versace, Gucci, Chanel, Hermes, Prada, and so on. Celebrities are often spotted shopping in this tropical, open air mall.

Since Bal Harbour is home to the elites, it is extremely rare to see a fast food. An Italian restaurant, Carpaccio, located in the Bal Harbour Shops is where residents often flock. Brasserie La Goulue serves French cuisine, while Makoto is famous for its high-end Japanese food.

Life in Bal Harbour is laid back that nightlife is a rarity. But residents can get a few drinks from the lobby bar of The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort where guests are treated to a live music offering every night.
